However, there are several reasons why the presence of a heartbeat may be absent at this. Dr doing ultrasound said he could see a gestational sac and yolk but no fetal pole. I know i could be around 6 weeks but. I have heard of some fetal pole not showing at 6 weeks due to a retroverted uterus, so it may apply at 7 weeks too. Really hope it works out for you. If no fetal heartbeat is detected on an ultrasound, there's a greater likelihood that the pregnancy will not be carried to term.
